The article is dedicated to flowers that represent a true beautification of our lives. It describes the history of flowers introducing into people's life.

Thousands of people purchase flowers for their loved ones daily – both on holidays or particular dates, and just to impress their loved ones. This simple gesture still constitutes one of the longest traditions in the history of mankind.Flowers have played a key role throughout the human history. Signs of their popularity can be found in numerous myths, religious texts, and folk tales. Some types of flowers were applied for food and are still used as food till present time; others have healing properties and are used as drugs. They were applied by Greeks and Romans a number of centuries ago since people then believed that the fragrance of flowers cleans the atmosphere and decreases intoxication. Even celebrated commanders known for their brutality and mercilessness while at war maintained exotic gardens at home.Owing to the high valuation of flowers by human society they became symbols of numerous nations. In such a way, a rose represents a national emblem of Iran, England and Honduras. Italy in its turn is represented by a lily, Russia by a sunflower, Japan by a chrysanthemum, Brazil by a Cattleya and so forth. The most essential function that flowers have, however, is their capacity to wake up deep human feelings and thoughts the way no other object can. These plants somehow embody tenderness and beauty. They are able to cheer up or to inspire on high-minded actions. A small bunch of flowers on a dinner table is a symbol of coziness. That is why women, and especially housewives, always include fresh flowers in their planned expenses. But flowers are symbolic not only in the mentioned way. Each flower has its own meaning, and this way it can help to express people's feelings. Flowers have been applied for years to send different messages. For example, the red carnation means “my heart aches for you”. The recipient could send a moss rose back (which means “I confess my love”) or a dried up white rose that in flower language would mean “you leave me cold”.At present the most widespread way to say about your feeling is sending a floral composition of 3 long-stemmed red roses to the lady you like.
