SEATTLE - Weyerhaeuser Realty Investors (WRI), a provider of institutional capital for project financing for homebuilders and developers, has hired Troy Black as vice president, asset manager. Black comes to WRI from the Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company, where he served as planning manager for Weyerhaeuser's homebuilding and residential land development business. Prior to this, he was finance director for Quadrant Homes in the Puget Sound area. He also worked for Simpson Investment Company as a financial manager and for Deloitte and Touche as an audit manager. Black is a chartered financial analyst and a certified public accountant. He holds a master's in business administration from the University of Washington and a bachelor's from Duke University. WRI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company, the 15th largest public homebuilder in the country as measured by closings. WRI has operated for 37 years as a provider of institutional capital for project financing for mid-to-large homebuilders and developers in major metropolitan areas.
