Product Description Ready to goon a minute's notice, this two-speed cordless tool and the 50 included bits are perfect for a wide variety of do-it-yourself jobs inside or out. Capable of doing almost anything the standard MultiPro does - except plug into an electrical outlet or accept attachments - you'll want to keep it charged up and handy at all times.
Amazon.com Review Built for the do-it-yourselfer, Dremel's cordless MultiPro kit delivers the versatility you expect from a Dremel--with the added advantage of being cordless. Lightweight at only 9 ounces, this compact unit maneuvers comfortably in tight spaces. What will you use it for? Remove old grout in your bathtub, polish your flatware, remove a broken tile, etch glass, hang miniblinds, cut out a pet door, install a new car stereo, sand off a spot of hard-to-reach rust, clean your boat's outboard engine parts, refinish ornate woodwork, install a mortise lock, and much, much more. The kit comes with 50 bits, including a high-speed cutter, a bristle brush, a cutoff wheel, sanding discs, a felt polishing wheel, a grinding wheel, and more--all the tools you need to tackle projects around the home. The tool's ball-bearing shaft affords minimal vibration. The shaft-lock button and unique knurled collet nut make changing bits easy, too, with no wrench required. A three-hour battery charger and a carrying case are included. --Jon Groebner

The one I got was pretty much worthless August 24, 2008 It all comes down to battery life, power delivered, and ergonomics. The batter when fully charged lasts about five minutes. The power delivered is no where near what I get with my B&D Versapak rotary tool. I was looking for this to be a step up and instead found it to be a total waste of money. As for ergonomics, the thing is heavy, cumbersome, and the battery has a way of coming disconnected during the few minutes it is able to deliver a barely acceptable charge.
Great deal for the price August 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the dremel. You can't beat the price. My only difficulty was with the instructions. It didn't tell how to change the emery wheels. After taking it to my husband, he figured it out, you have to loosen the screw on the end and slide off the band. Otherwise, GREAT product. I use it to file my dogs nails.
Dremel great for dog nails August 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My dog's nails have always been long - allowing for a long quick to grow. One day she completely ripped off a nail while chasing a rabbit. Very costly at the vet and very painful for the both of us. Dremel is a great way to get those nails down. She tolerates it well even though one vet said he'd have to knock her out just to clip her nails. Just keep the foot to the back so she can't see and all is good. Works great.
Excellent for trimming pet nails August 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've always been hesitant to trim nails of our 3 pooches using the conventional clippers. The dogs did'nt enjoy it either.
I tried the regular dremmel at home and had good success. My confidence was better knowing that I'm more in control and the dogs were so much at ease.
I invested in this one for convenience of size and ease of use. For the last few days I've had this, the dogs are getting more and more relaxed. They even fall asleep by the time I'm done with all the nails.
Love this tool and would recommend this to any pet owner who may have hurt their pets trimming nails using conventional tools. Just make sure you don't grind a single nail for more than a few seconds.
Excellent for our dogs nails August 5, 2008 We have 4 Great Danes, and 2 Shar-peis.
I read, and reread reviews on the Dremel cordless rotary tools. After reading the reviews on the actual cordless dog grooming nail tool. I opted for this model. Due to the rechargeable lithium battery & battery charger included.
Well, It arrived today. I charged the unit for 3 hours. And in 45 minutes all the dogs nails were trimmed. No splitting, no cutting the quick. Finally a dreaded task made sooo easy. And plenty of power to spare.
I used an attachment from my corded model. I used the barrel shaped medium grit (stone) grinder attachment. On low speed, as opposed to one of the cardboard sander's. The stone grinder worked out perfectly. Very little, to no friction. Therefore, it did not heat up the nail.
This unit is very quiet, and does not have a high pitched annoying sound. So, very little reaction from the dogs, considering this was the first time a rotery tool has been used to trim their nails.
If you have a dog. This is a MUST HAVE for nail trimming.
