Good replacement part June 27, 2008
This is a perfect match for the OEM blade that came with my Black & Decker electric lawn mower #MM850. Super quick and easy to install following the included instructions. Noticeable improvement in cutting performance, but then again I hadn't changed/sharpened my blade in 4 years (I have a smallish front/back yard).

Easy to replace...The price was right..and the shipping was great (it was hear before I knew it). Easier to replace than sharpen.

 reverse pitch - why? May 15, 2008
Why does this blade have a reverse bevel? Every other mower blade I have ever seen has the cutting edge of the bevel on the grass side of the blade. Not this one.
Why?
A lawn care professional and the staff at three local hardware stores were not aware of reverse bevel, and cannot think of why it might be a good idea.
By the way - I've seen this blade at the local Sears and Menards. Don't know why other posters here can't find it.
