Product Description Don't let its size fool you. Only 8" in diameter, this fan packs quite a punch in delivering circulation to stagnant, uncomfortable air. Sitting at a desk on a hot summer afternoon can make the day seem agonizing. Use this fan to supply yourself with a cool summer breeze. The versatile aerodynamic wind tunnel design provides you with a fast, focused cooling. Plus, with the three-speed motor (high, medium & low) you'll be able to find the breeze that's just right for you. If the different speeds don't offer you enough options, try using the variable tilt head that pivots a full 90-degree for use as an air circulator rather than a direct fan. The fan doesn't just offer you operational features; you also have the option to use it on your desk or on the wall (hardware included).
Amazon.com Review Cool off during the hot days of summer with this powerful turbo fan from Honeywell. The .52-amp fan sits alone or can be wall-mounted to provide a steady breeze. Tilting back 90 degrees, the fan also enhances air circulation in stagnant rooms and can assist in clearing smoke or hot air out of a room when pointed away from the room in question. Sleek in design, the compact fan fits into most interior design motifs. The fan features a convex grill to protect the high velocity blades and allow air to flow unhindered. A powers the fan. Three power settings offer flexibility for different cooling and environmental needs, including quiet operation with the lowest setting. The fan travels easily from one room to the next with the use of the convenient carrying handle. For mounting the fan, hardware must be purchased separately. Use a dry soft cloth to clean the fan. Prior to use, review the thorough safety guidelines in the owner's manual. This item does not disassemble and is covered by a limited-five-year warranty. The fan measures 11-3/8 by 6-1/2 by 11-1/8 inches and weighs 4 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Instant wind tunnel October 6, 2008 (+) good value for the money portability sturdy best. name. ever.
(-) noise (?) frost bite wind burn
A lot of people have complained about the noise this little fella makes.
Question: how can you expect it not to make a lot of noise with a name like Super Turbo High Performance Fan? You should probably be more surprised that this thing doesn't blow your eyebrows off when you turn it on.
It comes with three settings: loud, louder, and deafening (which would correspond to the layman's low, medium, and high). Expect to have to rebuild some of your home when using the high setting as it will, in all likelihood, blow the roof off your home.
My wife uses it to create what some of you would term as, "white noise." Being more PC than most, we tend to call it, "The noise that creates an environment conducive to sleeping minus the city's occurring interruptions." I have also, on occasion, used this fan to cool myself off on hot days (but not too long as it is so powerful as to simultaneously cause wind burn and frost bite).
Seriously, I give it a 5 because it's a good fan, it's very economical, and it's more portable than the box varietal. If I cared about the amount of noise it creates, I would lower the score; I don't so I won't. Just keep your thread and string away from it (I spent 30 minutes cutting thread out of the fan after it literally sucked it in through one of it's vent openings - no joke).
Honeywell Super Turbo Fan September 23, 2008 Quiet operation combined with high volume air movement makes this fan a top rated buy.
Lot of noise, lots of air September 15, 2008 For a non-oscillating fan, this little guy moves a lot of air. It is also really loud. Some may see that as a drawback, but in my little campus apartment, it's been a blessing. White noise to keep the ska band down the hall's noise OUT. (They're pretty terrible!)
For the money, a good little fan September 15, 2008 You can't beat it for the price. It is a little loud as previously reported, but overall a good buy when the price is considered.
Powerful, compact, nice looking, quieter than most September 1, 2008 I bought one, loved it, bought several more (they come in black and white). Looks great, moves the air - makes a big difference! - and not very noisy except on highest setting. Still is quiet compared to most fans.
